The Chester Fire District Board of Fire Commissioner is currently seeking interested individuals to fill a

vacant rire commissioner position. This role provides an important opportunity to serve the community by supporting the oversight and strategic direction of the Chester Fire Department.

The appointed Commissioner will work collaboratively with fellow commissioners and department leadership to ensure effective operations, fiscal responsibility, and continued safety and well-being of both personnel and residents. Responsibilities include participation in board meetings twice a month, budget review, policy development, and long-term planning for the department.

Individuals with a strong interest in public service, community involvement, and organizational leadership are encouraged to apply. Knowledge and experience in emergency services is beneficial but not required.

A commitment to learning and working in the best interests of the community is essential.
