As of this past week, our first quarter for 2026 has come to a close. The Chester Fire Department has responded to 169 total calls, which is down from the 181 we had at this mark last year.

So far, the CFD has responded to:

  • 52 FIRE ALARM ACTIVATIONS

  • 36 MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS

  • 24 MUTUAL AID REQUESTS

  • 8 ASSIST PD/EMS REQUESTS

  • 11 GAS LEAKS

  • 9 INDOOR SMOKE INVESTIGATIONS

  • 8 CO ALARM ACTIVATIONS

  • 5 BRUSH FIRES

  • 4 STRUCTURE FIRES

  • 4 UNATTENDED FIRES

  • 2 OVEN FIRES

  • 2 WIRES DOWN

  • 2 VEHICLE FIRES

  • 1 FUEL SPILL

  • 1 LAWNMOWER FIRE
